Moving Out

by

As if I did not have enough on my plate, we are moving. We’ve been looking to move closer to my family for a while now, for several reasons. The main one having the ability to have weekly meals with them again but also to have someone closer in case my husband has an emergency. (For those of you that don’t know, my husband (at 27) had a stroke in 2010 that has left him disabled and still has some health scares…so living closer to someone I trust to check on him when needed will be a huge relief).

This opportunity came up with a family friend when their renters moved out suddenly. We went from Friday planning on staying where we were at for a while, Saturday got the call that the house was available and Monday went to see it and confirmed that we wanted it. And then, after looking at the schedules of myself, family and friends, realized that the 28th was the only weekend for the next couple months we would have reliable help to move (see husband’s disability).

So I am packing and gleaning and sorting and trying to get everything ready. It’s only a 20 mile move and I’m so blessed that I don’t have to do it alone, but please, forgive me if I’m a little distracted.

I am very excited for this little house though. It’s old and has so much character. More than that, it’s size will work better for our family (including a fantastic laundry ROOM), a huge yard and is right across from the park.

Oh, and did I mention the garage?

The one that says studio on it thanks to Photoshop? Oh yes. I have dreams. My mind is racing and I’m ready to make magic happen ala Sue Bryce.

Bring it, world. I’m ready for you.
