We had some dear friends take our family portraits for Christmas gifts. Now that Christmas is over, I want to share them with you!
As a photographer, it’s hard to trust someone to take your own photos. It’s also so difficult during the shoot to keep yourself from saying things. Wanting to make sure that you get the shots in your head. The ones you have been imagining. That sort of thing.
I’m so very happy with my images from Will Darden of Reversed Lens Photography. They printed out super amazing and I can’t wait to figure out which one I want for my own wall!
It also helps that my daughter is so stinking cute. She always steals the camera, but having my husband more than a year after his stroke there, smiling the way he was smiling, makes these images even more amazing. I don’t want to make this about me, because my goal has always been about you. But sometimes, things sneak in. So if you want to learn more about my amazing husband’s struggle, you can visit my personal blog here. The basics consist of carotid arteries dissecting thanks to Alpha-1 Antitripsen Deficiency, a genetic disease that our daughter was tested positive for. Being able to get these images for our personal history means so much to me. God forbid anything happens in the future, but if if does, I have these amazing images to remember him.
So don’t forget yourselves. You have the right to images that you take of others. The products you sell to your clients should be living in your home too. Do it. Schedule it now. Do a trade with a local photographer or hire one you love.
