Today is a red-letter day. I get to cross a huge goal off my list. This goal has been on my list since I first wrote it down a couple years ago.
Today is the last day at my full time job. I take the next step into full time self-employment. To supplement and keep my sanity (i.e. do some mindless stuff and get to meet random people) I’m starting a PT position at Apple Retail. Hurray for employee discount!
But the most important thing is that I’ve made it. I wrote down that I wanted to leave my current job. I hate it and am so much better than answering phones. And now it’s here. That big step into the “wild blue yonder” is coming and I couldn’t be more thrilled!
It also means that it’s time to re-write my goals. To adjust and alter them as needed and then post them up big and bold. To remember where I’m going.
Your homework today, if you don’t have it already, is to write down your goals. All your goals. I want you to write down every little thing you want to be able to do. It can be big and small. Do you want to have a studio or office outside of your home? How about finally ordering samples to take to your in person ordering session? Or even starting to DO in person ordering sessions. Sending your camera out to get cleaned or buying a new backup battery.
If you write it down, it becomes more real. Then if you put it in a location where you can see it often, you’ll have greater accountability.
